The 2nd Court of Appeals, Fort Worth, Texas hears appeals from district and county courts in a 12-county region in North Texas. These counties are: Archer, Clay, Cooke, Denton, Hood, Jack, Montague, Parker, Tarrant, Wichita, Wise and Young. Seven justices comprise the court, one of whom is designated as Chief Justice. Since October 5, 2017, Bonnie Sudderth has served as Chief Justice of this court.
